It has been such nice weather, but we finally got a good snow storm! This first thing Indie said when she saw it was "Play snow?" We got out a little later than we hoped so it was chilly and she didn't last long, but we had fun drawing her name, Mommy drawing shapes for Indie to guess and of course her favorite, snow angels.
Adam has Young Men's at least once a week, which means I'm on bedtime duty alone. Both girls are typically quite irritable so this makes for a fun time. We were quickly getting ready for bed and Nora was already upset. Indie has been doing this thing lately where she bops me on the side of the head with both hands; she does it to be silly, but it often hurts. She did it this night and I blurted "Ouch" which set her off. Oh how I feel for all of the single parents out there.
Little miss thang LOVES music and to bust a move. She is a little copycat so we tried Tiny Tot Mommy & Me dance class this week. As to be expected being the independent girl she often is, she followed Mommy and teacher about half the time and did her own thing have the time. It was hard to tell in the moment if she loved it or was just figuring it all out, but she kept talking about it after.
The last few weeks, Indie has been loving to tell me "Take a picture" of her, as well huddle up in small spaces. I don't hate the former as it reminds me to capture these simple moments. Here she is in the laundry basket, Nora's tub, and the girls at Costco. *Sidenote: Indie loves to go anywhere, but definitely likes Costco. Samples may play a small part in this.
Another first this week: Indie's first time bowling! We took her with us a few times when she was little and cried every time the ball dropped, but it is much different now with her running around and doing it herself. She always wanted to use Daddy's ball and was so focused as the ball went down the lane. She loved it...but also "playing" the arcade games with her friend Jaryn.
